Xilisoft DVD Ripper Ultimate is a DVD ripping software with support for most formats. There is nothing new here. With this application you can insert your DVD into the tray, click buttons a couple of times, and, thirty minutes or more later, have a video file of the format of your liking. Xilisoft DVD Ripper boasts support for most of the audio and video formats, such as MPEG4, AVI, DivX, XviD, RM, FLV, SWF, MOV, 3GP, WMV, WMA, MP3, AAC, AC3, M4A, WAV, and more. Furthermore, this little application will let you export the video to a bunch of other devices. So, I guess that if you want to encode some video from a DVD to an iPod, an Iphone, an Apple TV, Xbox 360, or devices like those, this application will come in handy. You can also avoid having to rip the whole DVD if you only want a portion of the content on it. Indeed, ripping a single chapter of a musical DVD was easy and fast enough. So, this is an application that does pretty much the same that the other competing applications do but has some added functionality. The ultimate version, just like the platinum version, adds the ability to encode video for its use on mobile devices, like the ones I listed above. The ultimate version also lets you add effects to your videos and rip both audio and video.
